Eligibility is about using regular transit

Applications are assessed individually, rather than by a particular diagnosis or income level. Conditional approval applies only to trips where regular transit will not work, temporary approval has a limited period, and unconditional approval has neither restriction.

Get an application online, at Bethel Transit Terminal or by calling 780-449-9680 for a paper copy. A mandatory attendant can ride free only where a practitioner identifies the need on the application. Subsidized fares use a separate income-support process through Family and Community Services.

Book and cancel through dispatch or the app

Once registered, use the county transit app, the supplied online platform or 780-449-9680. Bookings open up to two weeks before travel. This is shared transport scheduled around multiple riders, not a taxi with an immediate pickup guarantee.

Dispatch says a voicemail before 6 p.m. is returned by 6 p.m. that day; a later message is returned the next day. The app supports booking, cancellation and trip notifications. Ask dispatch for first-use access help if the online login fails.

Urban, Edmonton and rural boundaries

Sherwood Park coverage is the defined Urban Service Area east of Highway 216 and south of Highway 16. Some properties with Sherwood Park mailing addresses are outside coverage, so a mailing label alone does not establish eligibility for an address.

Edmonton service includes the stated 400 m areas around downtown and university fixed-route stops, Capilano and Bonnie Doon malls, and all ten supplemental destinations listed below. Rural trips are available to all clients weekdays but reserved for rural residents on weekends and holidays.
